Museum of Transport and Technology 2012


MOTAT opened in 1964 and is the largest museum of the history of transportation and technology and social development in New Zealand, home to a number of different groups. Includes 40 acres, on both sites, and shows a great record and informative many technological advances that have helped shape New Zealand. Major groups include road transport, Auckland first industries, primary medical and dental care and aviation pioneers. MOTAT also boasts the Action section of the tram, and a large group including the Lancaster bomber aviation and aeronautics Solent boat.
